2017-March 2019: Worked on notes for the commentary, principally writing new material for the part of Book 4 not submitted as original thesis (1–481) but also adapting thesis commentary to DCC style.
July 2017: Set up the site, adding text (1–65), a preliminary draft for the first background essay and some passages from PhD thesis as place holders.
July-early August: Worked on producing running vocabulary for the whole of Book 4. Now completed and vocabulary list for lines 1-65 now in place. Would not have been possible without the help of Bret Mulligan and The Bridge!
August: Rosemary produced graphic maps and illustrations to go with the text. Much appreciated by all who see them.
Mid August: Experimented with Google Earth (see file at bottom of Home page map). Started work on interactive map to illustrate places in the Argonautica, using Map Box. Steep learning curve but progress made. Have a great desire to produce something that will look like this. The rivalry between Callimachus and Apollonius is still alive! Onwards and upwards! More to follow!
